Over the past few months I’ve been looking more closely at my own credit card situation and I’ve learned a lot. I’ve been doing some things right, other things less so. In talking with friends and family, I realize lots of them are also potentially missing out on easy money or rewards.
Take a look at whichever category interests you most:
Cash Back – The simplest reward to understand is straight cash back. Get between 0.5% and 4% cash back in various spending categories depending on the card.
Travel – Travel rewards can be a bit more difficult to redeem, but they can be very lucrative. Even if you travel just once a year they can be an excellent value.
Low Interest – Carrying a credit card balance is never a good idea because you’ll end up paying much more in interest than you earn in either cash back or travel rewards. That said, sometimes life events mean carrying a balance for a while. Paying as little interest as possible is the way to go in that case, so check these cards out.
